剧情介绍
保险经纪阿威（秦沛 饰）早年妻子离世，与独生女儿阿怡（杨千嬅 饰）相依为命。阿威的妹妹阿美（苑琼丹 饰）屡次婚姻失败，因此威对女儿即将从国外带回来的男友分外留心。当他发现女儿的男友是好色之徒的时候，阿怡却不相信，父女大吵一架。此时阿威工作上的拍档陈有充（张家辉 饰）迫于无奈介入了这对父女之间的矛盾中，阿充怎么也没想到会与阿怡日久生情，加上阿充因为工作表现突出，被调到了阿威工作上死对头的那组，阿威生气之极，极力想拆散阿怡与阿充的感情，笑料百出。两情相悦的阿怡与阿充还是排除了万难，结为夫妻。不习惯女儿已经出嫁的阿威，过分关注夫妻两的生活，使他们倍感困扰。后来二人的感情更受到了更重大的挑战……
