剧情介绍

清末，河南长垣厨师牛长远成为宫中有名的御厨，九王爷对他十分喜爱。多年后，其儿子进京跟随学厨，与王府的格格情投意合，牛长远强力反对，父子反目。儿子一怒之下离开牛长远，拜太平楼名厨张自强为师，与父亲摆下擂台。牛长远在和张自强的厨艺比赛中发现张家的配方和牛家有很多可以相互融合的地方，他找到张自强，但被拒绝。抗战爆发后，由于张自强宁死不给日本人做饭被关押。临刑前，他秘密托人把张家菜谱送给牛长远。此时牛长远隐居长垣，潜心研究烹饪技艺，终将“大长垣”菜谱完成，传给后人。《大长垣》以长垣厨师牛长远的人生经历为主线，以厨师之乡长垣为主要场景，通过主人公在清末、民国时期和新中国成立后的传奇人生经历和命运交错，通过跌宕起伏、扣人心弦的故事情节，反映了中原人民吃苦耐劳、勇于进取、宽厚仁慈、忠义爱国的博大情怀，是一部雅俗共赏，集思想性、艺术性为一体的影视作品。
