剧情介绍

1928年秋天，蒋介石为了扩充实力，用裁军和整编杂牌军的办法招兵买马，排除异己。原奉系军阀孙殿英不甘心被蒋介石吞并，希望占山为王，以缺乏军饷为由，借军事演习之机，开进东陵，准备伺机盗掘清乾隆皇帝和慈祥太后陵墓。盗墓前，孙殿英借赴南京催饷之名，支开了具有爱国思想的副军长那辛庭，派心腹团长张厚歧直接指挥盗墓行动。他们找到了入口处，但由于道口狭窄，又没光亮，将士兵吊进洞里。由于墓中安有暗器机关，接连死伤数人。张厚歧恩威并用，终于打开了慈禧的墓XX。蜂拥而入的士兵在无数金银财宝面前红了眼，发了疯。为抢珠宝，士兵们在古墓里展开械斗。心狠手辣的孙殿英率五师师长谭温江在墓道口架起机枪，在一片混乱中将珠宝加封运走。那辛庭事先对孙殿英的用心有所察觉，日夜兼程赶回东陵。途中险遭垂涎副军长职位已久的五师师长谭温江暗算。看到民族文化遗产惨遭洗劫，那辛庭气愤至极，急将此事密报平津卫戍司令部。司令部参谋长朱绶光接此密报后，假借制止这次行动，希望染指分赃。盗墓消息传出，举世震惊。国内爱国志士和团体纷纷要求查明真相，严惩罪犯；一些军阀、政客则煸风点火，希望从中渔利；一批批洋人打着收藏家、商人的旗号，希望收买珍宝，带往国外。一时间小小遵化城，笼罩在神秘莫测的气氛中……
