神探F波，屡破奇案，成为不少人的英雄偶像，他与助手木村托更受到大批美女的欢迎。其实，这只是F波的幻想。他的确是侦探，但生活并不富裕，侦探社常拖欠租金，感情生活更是一片空白。 一日，F波被委托保护一富商独女纪香，她爸爸突然病逝，一众亲人对其家产垂涎三尺，于是F波与助手留在纪香家中作贴身保护。原来这家人是四川人，特别喜欢吃辣，但占士却怕辣得很，于是引起一连串笑话。三日后律师正式宣读遗嘱，各人心情越见紧张。F波逐一留意家中的可疑人物；三姨太白头陈和姑姐十姑娘的嫌疑最大；但行为疯颠的吉祥表妹和挥金如土的契仔也有可能对纪香不利。突然，十姑娘离奇被杀，众人战战兢兢之际，管家志伟和白头陈相继受害，F波抽丝剥茧地追查，终于在一火锅中找到线索……
