剧情介绍
该影片反映的是红四方面军早期在武汉黄陂木兰山从事革命斗争的故事。1927年12月，黄麻起义失败后，从黄安城激战中突围出来的王树生、陈再道、许世友等72人，在起义军副总指挥吴光浩的率领下(总指挥潘忠汝在突围中牺牲)，转移到武汉黄陂北部的木兰山开展游击斗争保存革命火种，进而改编为中国工农革命第七军，辗转进行游击活动，足迹遍于黄陂、黄冈、黄安、麻城、孝感、罗田六县的广大地区，扩大了革命影响。1929年，军长吴光浩在战斗中牺牲后，中共中央、中央军委派徐向前来接任领导。之后，在第七军的基础上逐步发展成为中国工农红军三大主力之一的红四方面军，建立了拥有20多个县，350万人口的鄂豫皖根据地。
